Introduction
The Vivace International Piano and Strings Competition is set to take place in 2025, showcasing a diverse range of talents from around the globe. There will be preliminary rounds in over 30 locations worldwide, as well as online. Regional finals will be hosted in Vancouver, Canada, and Wuhan, China, with the global finals scheduled for August 2025 in Paris.
General regulation
Memorisation Required: All participants must perform from memory. Failure to do so will result in a 20% deduction from the total score.
Repetition Rules: No repeats in the music are allowed, except for D.C. (Da Capo) and D.S. (Dal Segno).
Time Limit Enforcement: If a participant exceeds the allotted time, the judges have the authority to stop the performance; however, this will not affect the overall competition results.
Eligibility for Professional Category: Students of music conservatories who are 10 years old and above must register in the professional category. Non-conservatory participants may choose their registration category.
Scoring System: Each performance will be scored out of 100 points.
Criteria for Grading: The adjudicators will base their scores on the quality of the artistry, technique, style, and stage presence, as well as on the technical difficulty level of the chosen repertoire.
Adjudicators’ Decision: The decision of the adjudicators is final. The committee fully respects the adjudicators’ judgments, yet acknowledges the possibility of administrative errors. If you have any concerns
